The Fallen Star and Arms of the Angels

Astonian

gone but not forgotten
The fallen star

e held him, cradled in our arms,
Rocking oh so gently protecting him from harm.
Our tears are flowing freely
Off our cheeks and down our face. alwaysheading downwards
Then dripping from our face
A brother holds his brother, as close as close can be .
And has his eyes look skywards;
theres only us to see.

The Angels sang amazing grace
The lord came down and touched your face,
He held your hand ,and whispered low come on brother its time to go .
Look after him lord,
While he takes his rest,he is my brother,
he is the best ,

Astonian ;;;;;

Such sad words Astonian. We lost a son 3 years next month aged 28, and he was one of 4 children. The loss still hurts and your poem set the tears flowing again. We often forget how brothers and sisters feel though, as they don't often express their feelings, but only the other day someone was relating how upset my daughter had been recently talking about her brother. So how true the words of your poem are. Thank you though.

Great writing and makes one realise what a wonderful language we have, all made up from twenty six letters of the alphabet. Regards, David.

Take twelve whole months
Clean them throughly of all bitterness and jealousy
Make them just as fresh and clean as possible.
----------------
Mix well into each day;
One part faith
One part patience
One part courage
One part work.
Add to each day:
One part hope,faithfulness,generosity and kindness.
Blend with:
One part prayer,
One part meditation,and one good deed.
Season with a dash of good spirits,
A srinkle of fun
A pinch of playfulness and a cupful of good humour
----------------------
Now cut each month into twentyeight thirty, thirtyone parts
But don't make up the whole batch at once.
Prepare it one day at a time out of these ingredients.
----------------------
Pour all the ingredients into a vessel of love,
Cook throughly over a radiant joy,
Serve with quietness, unselfishness
And a generous helping of cheerfulness..... Follow the receipe to the letter and your bound to have a HAPPY NEW YEAR.
