The thought has occured to me this evening....
59 years ago to-morrow, I entered into employment
working for his Majesty, my wages were 30/- a week :2funny:
the hours were 24/7,and I was supplied with my board & keep
and free travel around the world
,mind you the food was not grand, :(
beds were very hard, :'(
not that we were able to have a lie in very often
we led a very active life and kept very fit :knuppel2: :laugh:
 
Dennis they userd to take so much for Credits and Savings and it left us with 9/- and thats what I paid in the PO near the camp still got the Savings Book :)
