Was the name "Alley Boutique" Max? I've got some scribbles regarding photos i came across during last year and trying to match up the picture. If and when I discover the correct item is there any interest if I post it here? Richie.

Oh i remember The Alley, and everybody i have asked said they have never heard of it,first proper boutique in Brum
it was up an entry can't remember the name of the street,round Bromsgrove St way, fabulous clothes,We had C&A and the like but
The Alley was super

I don't remember actually going in there but I think it might have been in Hurst Street?

It looks like what is now Faculty Coffee in Piccadilly Arcade

There used to be a womens boutique opposite the Piccadilly mens shop in the same named arcade.

I wonder if that could be the Alley shop, the slope in the picture would be about right?

I was completely wrong about Hurst Street then Actually, I can imagine it was in the Arcade from the shop front now.

Could it possibly be the bottom of Needless Alley, the home of Vincent's Record Shop

Thanks, pjmburns, my error, but I would just add that my favourite shop in Brum was Vincent's in Needless followed closely by Hudson's Bookshop
