The movie was produced by Kenneth Harper, who had produced Richard's first three starring vehicles in the early 1960s. It was announced for production by in May 1973 Nat Cohen of EMI films under the title Hot Property. Filming began on 4 June in Birmingham.
I saw Cliff face to face a few years ago outside St Martins in the Bullring. He regarded me with a quizzical smile as he clocked that I was working out if I knew him. We had never met. I managed not to say didn't you use to be CR!
