just thought i would look into the family who lived there in 1911/21 and betty gwyneth jones who was only 15 when she died has a probate record and is buried at sutton coldfield cem..her father herbert scott jones died at bryn teg in 1937..probate on anc and he is also buried at sutton..i have gone back as far as herberts father and no sign of the family being born in wales..so either they just liked the name of bryn teg or maybe the previous owners called it by that nameHello Pedro and Janet, I was very impressed with all the information you discovered about The Leasowes and wondered if you could find anything for a house called Bryn Teg please? I know it is/was at 35 Bracebridge Road and I imagine it was another large property. It appears on the 1911 & 1921 census.

I thought of Wales as well but...What a lot of information. Thank you all. I should think there was a Welsh connection somewhere with Jones and Gwynneth and what a strange name Guthlac is. English though apparently.

Betty's Father Herbert was born in Leeds
Herbert's Father Evan (more welsh links?) was born in Essex
Betty's mother was born in Birmingham
So a Welsh connection seems to have been a distance back in the line.
