hi lulu..go to the OLD PHOTOGRAPHS section towards the bottom of the page...click on PICTURE RESTORATION and post your pic there asking if someone can take out the creases for you...any problems get back to me...

Astoness. I Think i remember seeing this pic before.I recall our mom saying the couple sitting outside the pub were jenny and ernie lee ??who were quite well known in the area.
 
JEAN, Page 15 #220. You can,t see them very clearly, and my mom is no longer here to ask,but they are just behind the blond lady on that picture.

Astoness. I Agree they are great .
Infact i used to get them for our mom and whenever there was anything to do with "The Ole End" in she loved to remeniss about it.She would have been over the moon looking at this site.So i have got quite a collection myself and books of our moms .So decided to start going thro some.You never know what might turn up.Now i,m hooked. keep up the good work .
 
hi topsy..i agree with you about never knowing what you may find by going through old books and mags....i shall look forward to any new piccies that you turn up...oh i doubt if you will find any but on your travels could you look out for any pics of paddington street....

What was your husbands name ? we lived just down the street from where that picture, back of 25.
 
I was a friend of one of the Turley daughters. I am 79 & she was about my age.( was there one named Doreen?}
She had a little boy in 1950. if my memory serves me right.

bramwell. Yes Doreen is the oldest sister early 70s now. Her first child was a daughter but not until late 50s. But my hubby was born1950 her brother.
 
My motherinlaw was Gladys who was married to Jack they lived at 5 back 29 . But i am wondering if you might mean one of my hubbies aunties. Because his gran lived at 33 who had 2 daughters and a son Dorothy/Doreen/Douglas.

It came from the Birmingham Mail I think, I got it from the library some time ago.
