Street furniture

In the late1950s there was still a gas lamp outside St Laurence Church in Northfield (presumably not functional by then) and just a little further on past the Great Stone Inn and the Northfield Pound (containing the Great Stone itself) a modern electric street light which I've superimposed in this image:

The electric street light is described as being " in pristine Birmingham maroon and cream.....a fine Revo 'Moseley' column surmounted by a Revo fuse box, swan-neck scrolled bracket and Revo C12422/AL 'step-top' lantern".
