James Stokes and Isabella Burton had a large family and lived in Digbeth and Sparkbrook area. Any one else researching this family? James father was Joseph Stokes b 1793 swordmaker from Digbeth, he too had a large fa,ily with his wife Sarah

Hi Alf,
Mrsledge has been a nickname all my married life to my best friends so it suits me as my forum name and yes i believe you will all be a friendly lot - I am a brummie myself and loads of my husband's tree come from Aston Derotin and Sparkbrook so its the right forum for me
