St Marys School Wills Street

The 1939 has Arthur Tyler b 1899 with an Annie B Tyler b 1904 and one redacted entry at 98 Villa Road.
thats the one i found jan but was not sure as worcs1964 said name was nancy/ann...this could be them as villa road is off hunters road which was also mentioned as a possible address...if this is the family then i think annie was annie beryl cook who married arthur tyler in worcs in 1927...arthurs occupation on his marriage certificate is glove maker which ties in with his occupation on the 1939 eve of war register

Yes, he was born in Worcester and lived in Derby Road as a child not sure if her was born there? Nan was also born in Worcester, but not sure where, I know she lived in Crown Street past the Tyhing, Nan's surname was Cooke, Not sure about Nancy B? I believe her name was Nancy Anne?

Was your Mom Margaret P and born in 1934?
If so then I think this is the right family.
I don't think she would be Nancy Anne as Nancy is a name used for people called Anne. So her name was Anne and she was known as Nancy.

That's great - My Mom was Margaret :)

Just saw the certificates - absolutely fantastic - where do you obtain the information from as there are other members of my family I would like to look into on my Dads side

Lyn (Astoness) and I use Ancestry. You can register and search for free but need to subscribe to see documents. You can search and then pay for 1 month to download what you have found
Not all certs etc are online - you were lucky there was a marriage cert. Census records are useful.
If you need help post on here. (These posts on Tyler may well be moved to their own thread).

we are always happy to help...just to finish you may also be interested to know unless you already knew that arthur served in the RAF during WW1 his service records are available on FOLD 3 which you can access via ancestry but you will need to pay an additional fee to view his records...i think arthur is buried at handsworth cemetery..with regards to ancestry its well worth subscribing..as janice has already said its free to join and you dont have to pay for a whole years subscriptions...you can do what i do and pay for a month at a time as and when you need it which is only £13.99 and join up for the premium membership which is the most popular one...
