My late Father-in-law lived with an Italian family by the name of Saracine (not certain of the correct spelling). He lived with them in the 1930's in Alum Rock.
Has anyone come across this family in their search? I believe they had a shop selling accordians. Many thanks
Thank you both very much for your input. Sadly there is no oone left to ask anymore questions. We just know that Thomas was given lodgings in the family home of the SARACINE's.
Awhile ago the name cropped up on a BBC family history programe in Birmingham and I tried emailing the programe makers but had no joy back.
Oh well......maybe someone in the future will do a search and my posting will come up and I will learn more
