Rice family - circa 1953

I was fostered for a while by i am sure a Mr and Mrs Rice, who had a son called derek, the same as mine, anyone know what happended to them / anyone else remember staying with them?
 
Hello there, not sure if you found the Rice you were looking for, my wifes nephew is called Dereck Rice, his
parents are both dead. They used to live in Sheldon, I cant think of the road off the Meadway I think, he now
lives in Shenstone near Lichfield. He would be about 50/55 now. Dont know if its the one you want? Cheers

Hi Derek, I have been in touch with Derek Rice and his Mum did foster a number of children. He is off on holiday in his caravan tomorrow for a week but will be in touch when he comes back.By a strange coincidence he became a member of this forum two weeks ago but has
been too busy spend any time on it. It looks as if it might be your man!!! All the best Bernard.

If anyone knows the Rice Family's Living in.

I would be eternally gratefull.
We have relatives coming from Australia, and would love to arrange a family gathering.

He was 63 yesterday i was 62 on monday,
i,m wondering if i know you both?

Hi there, the Rice family I knew were my late wifes Uncle Ted and Aunty Violet, who had one son Dereck
they lived in Milstead Road Sheldon Heath. I think Dereck was born about 1950ish, he now lives on
Birmingham Road Shenstone near Lichfield, I believe Violet used to foster children, someone was asking
about them before on this forum, sorry I cant be of more help, Bernard ps Just thought, Ted worked on the GWR

Thanks - that does ring a bell - Violet and Ted - even though I was only six!
