Old horns pub

Doesn't ring a bell Jean, I lived up by where they built the community centre and knew most people between Tyndale and the bus terminus. But above an below those parts I didn't really know many people

Dave - Where did you live in Queslett? Did you know many of the lads in Cotman? I still keep in touch with Johnny Mack - did you know him?
 
Sorry to revive old thread but my family used the old horns a lot, and lived over the road from it until fairly recently. Does anybody have any old pics of it please ?
 
We lived on Queslett Road from when I was 3 years old onwards. I remember the old pub, from the outside of course, the bus to Sutton Coldfield stopped right outside which we took regularly to see my mom's sisters who lived there. There were some old scales outside that you had to put a coin into. It passed a few minutes while we waited for the bus.

Not a pub I've heard of before. I've seen weighing machines outside pub's before but not this type, they're usually the Avery type ones for weighing sacks etc. Wonder if the boy with the pram is waiting to pick-up beer for his parents.

Building still there today as is the parade of shops across the road. Viv
