Finally for today another of the unknown Pershore road shots, from 1972, the motorcycle shop should pin it for someone - Midland Red bus stop and a scooter parked by the letter box and a Watneys Red Label advert, remeber the little Red Barrel key rings?
EDIT: Suggested location, Car park at the Stirchley Bowl.

Had a play with the slides, this is Blucher Street only because I recognise the location, as usual with these there is no year. Nice selection of cars and an A35? van, seem to be a lot of sixties pastel colours about.

Due to Ring Road redevelopment we are moving to.. says the sign in one of the shop windows, the car is in the way of the location, nice Morris van and a Policeman walking up the road. Crates on the road to save a parking space. The lamppost and sign are quite ornamental. There are a couple of Bus stops and a barbers pole down the road, offers on Location please.

There was a William Hughes 150 Moor Street in 1957, and City Shades, 151,Moor Street in 1949.

In #106 the van's a Ford 10 E83W if my memory is working properly today and the car is a Hillman Husky.

That's #1319 now that the mods have moved the post.

Assuming you are correct as I had no idea. This is Moor Street today looking towards the Bull Ring.

Bit more modern and with a location Handsworth Shopping Centre in 1970, Commer van at the lights and a few old favourites in the car park. See that there is a Pricerite Supermarket in the centre.

I think this is the same block of shops today.

That's interesting, I never knew that block of shops was originally called Handsworth Shopping Centre!
They are on the other side of the Nineveh Road junction with Soho Road where the garage previously refered to were.

Yes I think you are, it looks much like it did in the late 60's. I can't think where else it could be.

2008 google map shot. The motor bike shop still there. In a more recent shot it has gone as has the bowling alley.

122-124 Colmore Row in 1984, used to know this location as the council had offices at 120 Colmore row. Like the carved date stone and the Arts and Craft doors and the leaded windows.

150 Raddlebarn Road 1981, little off street petrol station / car sales, couple of pumps, couple of Michelin signs and a small office. Mini Clubman and a few cars on the left., and an old garage building to the rear.

This is Hotel Astoria on the Hagley Road from 1972, looking a little down at heel, car on bricks on the forecourt, old van and a ladder for someone to prune the tree. Again leaded look windows.

This is 5 St Marys Row Moseley from 1970, love the building above ground floor looks quite old and stately, one with leaded windows one without, couple of clothes shops and the old Gas Board showroom .

High Street Sutton Coldfield, 1977, lot of demolition work going on and the Three Tuns Hotel looking worse for ware, this is the site of the DSS offices now,
