Can anyone help me please?

I have just obtained a death cert for a newly discovered relative @ 8 Back 466 Garrison Lane, cert was issued on 22 April 1953 in Deritend Sub-District, showing she died by accident in hospital.

Is her home adress in or near the Deritrend District?

Does anyone know where I may be able to find a Newspaper report of the accident?

Thanks

was an inquest held? they are closed for 75 years unless you are next of kin so thats 2028. But the chance is it would have been in the paper, they are on film at Birmingham Central Library

Although Garrison Lane was in the Saltley district, it did come under Deritend for official purposes. Less than a mile distant.

Are you sure about that number? The 1950 electoral roll does not list an 8/466.

The number is very plain on the actual death certificate, 8 Back 466 Garrison Lane Birmingham 9.

Is there a hospital in this area? No name shown on the death cert for it.

no mention of an Inquest on the death cert, Is there any way I could find out if one was held? Trying to research Local Papers, which is none too easy from up here in Lancashire:rolleyes:
