I can't remember what the ailment was, but Mom used to send me over the road to the local shop for something called Indian Brandy which was dispensed from a small barrel as I recall.
When my kids were babies I used to give them gripe water - you can't get that anymore can you?
I also remember (think it was called) Ellimans Embrocation - smelly stuff you used to rub on your muscles after playing sports matches at school. My dad ran a local Sunday footie team and we always had some in his kit bag - it smelled of mustard and vinegar. :basketball:
Hi dennis that was the embrocation made by Ellimans, we use before and after our Hockey Games "Ellimans Athletic rub" it said on the bottle, Horse Liniment we call it.If you got it down the front of you BOX Ho boy did you skate hard & fast. :-[
