Can anyone advise on the above site. I have looked with a view to subscribing, depending on cost, but unless I am missing something, I cannot find the charges anywhere, unless I register. I am loth to register and then to do nothing if too expensive, because it means someone has information on me that I don't want known by all and sundry. Can someone tell me how much the subscription costs and then I will be able to make an informed decision. Many thanks, Shortie

hi shortie, i had the years subscription and it cost £120 which is a lot of money but i have had such useful info out of it, it has been worth it to me.

Hi Shera - thanks for that information. That is a lot of money, I cannot afford that at present, circumstances at the moment are a bit straightened, it would either have to be that or Ancestry and Ancestry is quite vital now. Thank you for letting me know, I will consider that when things are different. Shortie

you can buy vouchers from £5 . I have been registered for year and bought some CD's , I only receive the very occasional email from the site to say when new data is available. It's not a pain like the large commercial sites.

Thank you for this information, Mike, most useful. I think I might just take the plunge, I can manage some vouchers. I was very reluctant to give my info out, as you never know where it may end up. Thanks again - Shortie
