Lyndon Green Farm Yardley

Going much further back in Lyndon Green history, this extract was posted by Pedrocut on the Mills of Birmingham thread. Could Lyndon Green Farm have been on/or part of the former mill site ? Could the farm location have been decided upon because of a connection in some way to the mill ? Although the mill is thought to have been medieval (c1500's?) part of the farm was B&W timbered (c1700's) so might have been around when the mill was still standing ? Just a thought, no firm evidence as such. Pity no early maps show the mill.

This is from an article in the Coleshill Chronicle dated 4th February 1946.
Title was "Rambles Round Warwickshire"

Edit. Post copied to this thread from the St Bernard's Grange thread

1911 census only lists 2 properties in Lyndon Green.
Lyndon Green Farm and a cottage occupied by a "cowman" (I assume a farm worker).
It might be of interest that my late grandfather, Frank Bennett, worked as a gardener at Lyndon Green Farm in the 1940's prior to emigrating to Melbourne, Australia. I was named after that association with the property. Unfortunately I was too young to take an interest before he passed. He returned several times and finally died and was buried somewhere in Birmingham.
I travelled to the UK in 2020 and went to what I thought was the school built on the property - Lyndon Green Infant School. Most memorable was being given a tongue lashing by a elderly woman resident opposite the school for daring to park outside her house while I took a photo.
I'll continue to follow.
Thanks Lyndon Joss (Melbourne, Australia)
