replacing some pics i have of the school...

this one was taken in 1968...i was still attending the school at this time....this one is very special to me...

Miss Read, Miss Cage,Mrs Gumbley, to name a few. Mrs Bambury was my last teacher when i left school. She was always quoting something from Deuteronomy(Don,t know if that is how you spell it) .
 
hi ya maggie oh yes i remember miss reed very well but the one who will always stick in my mind was miss banbury....she was the one who sent me home with a dirty neck and told me to go have good wash...well it wasnt my fault i was out the night before doing my tom boy act of climbing trees and hopping over all the gardens scrumping with the lads.....

Mike, my picture came from Carl Chinns mag and coincidently the lady that sent it in came from Guilford St then moved to Clifford St.
 
hi topsy just caught up with your latest pics..dont know how i missed them..ive got another pic of that wedding but cant recall who sent it to me...it was taken when i was still at lozells school the classroom you see on the right by the bride and groom is where we had our english lessons..happy days..

this pic was taken as i believe this was the first lolly pop lady in brum..

wonderful pics aston lad...if ever you come across any of lozells girls...farm st infants and juniors or alma st infants and juniors would love to see them...these are the 3 i attended from about 58 to 70 ish...i cant remember having any class photos taken at all...

I had a few class photo's when I was in the junior school, but none when I was in the senior school,....my sister attended Lozells Girl school from around 1966 to 1970/71, she was more of a boy than a girl, and still is......

same here aston lad..i was always a tom boy...only girl in the gang i was lol...whats your sisters name...we surely must have bumped into each other...did she stay on to take cse exams...

Her name was Ann Colin, and no she left as soon as she could....
 
cant recall her aston lad unless the name comes to me later..i was so desperate to stay on to do mainly shorthand and typing that mom and dad let me...thinking back me being the eldest of 6 going straight to work and looking after myself would have been better for them..i have always been grateful i was allowed to stay on..can you say hi from me linda harrington..she prob wont remember me either lol...dont know if she has seen this pic of the school..taken in 1968 when we both would have still been attending..took me ages to track this pic down..

to be honest Lyn, you really don't want to remember her, I haven't seen her since our eldest sister died in 2004, and it was years before that as well.....as you can see we are very close.....lol
