Kings Norton Records

skylark

Proud to be a Brummie !!
Hello,
does anyone have access to the Marriage records of St Nicholas church Kings Norton ??? I only ask because having just found a family branch that moved to Kings Norton they seem to have married there..I have names etc but only the quarters & years so I appreciate this becomes a blanket search & therefore a chore...but I live in hope !!

Thank you,
Margaret.
:)

\\i am not sure but when trying to trace members of my famly who went to kings norton school in 1901 I was told by the school deputy head that the old grammer school in the church grounds now completed renovation, the top floor of the school was to be used as an archive for the school it may also be that some of the church records or copies may also be kept It won't hurt to ask if not they might be able to give you the location. It possibly would be worcester as it came under that county at that time

I have been searching for records for Kings Norton (St Nicolas) and Northfield (St Laurence) online for a few years. No success yet. We found all our info at the Central Library. Kings Norton seems like a black hole for research info online.

i have a few records on a cd of st. laurence northfield and st. nicholas kings norton. would be willing to check for any names but the records only go up to about 1837 or so.

Thank you for your replies...I see now that I should also think about the Northfield church as well.... the marriages I am interested in are from 1872 up to 1904, I will give the info because who knows, the info may already be in someones tree ( I wish !!!)

June Qtr 1872 Joseph Reading & Mary Ann Mogg

Sept Qtr 1889 Benjamin Redding & Elizabeth Buckingham

Sept Qtr 1890 Joseph Redding & Ann Carter

June Qtr 1898 Julia Elizabeth Redding & Joseph Forsythe

June Qtr 1904 Minnie Redding & Ernest Mark Leech.

Many Thanks,
Margaret.
