Yes Pam regarding Jogesh. Florence Rose Maddocks tree goes back along way. My mom was a Maddocks. Alot of research there. Jogesh is the dead end being born in India 1896. Must be someway getting info but never tried India. The trees I looked at don't seem to go back beyond Jogesh and Florence
He studied and qualified at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore Famous for medical education. They must have records. We know when he arrived her from Southampton. He must have studied a few years .You would think that the place he studied in Baltimore would have records. What they would contain and when (if ever) they might be released to the public I don't know.
Thats great info, so in London from Southampton. physician/dr/surgeon. Yes i looked at map and Bangladesh. Father a landowner.Thank you once againmBengal was a large region and his exact birthplace would be somewhere in Bengal (some parts nowadays in Bangladesh)
Interesting that his father was a “land owner” !
This may be of interest also…note the address in London.

By 18 December 1923 – Marries Florence Rose Maddocks.
LookingIs he on 1920 US census?
Pam he has to be still in Baltimore Maryland. Yet to find himLooking
Amazing, yes more than likely then. I wonder....The connection with Brown Shipley may suggest that he may have arrived with financial arrangements already in place rather than simply stepping off the ship looking for work.
Your correct, Bankers or Financial investment. Still active. I wonder where the finances came from.... Brilliant.Amazing, yes more than likely then. I wonder....
Yes beyond my funds to for subscriptions. Obviously alot more info. Thanks again for your help. Also on Ancestry, but beyond my payment range, there are other records for JC Bose, including WW1 Reg Draft, a Maryland US newspaper article, a US school yearbook, 1920 US census, o/g passenger lists. These could add info ?
I just searched goigle.Alot of unrest especially landowners. If father was unknown on his application for british citizenship in 1961. Anything could have maybe been put down on his marriage cert. From where do you draw the info of an uprising in Bengal in 1895 ?
Did Jogesh convert to Christianity ?
Thanks Pam, I couldn't find it. So as thought still in America 1920. Appreciated as usual.Transcript
100% Jogesh. Bit more info.Transcript
So we have a date of him leaving India. Amazing just around the corner from JH Hospital. Been on here a few years. Some great helpful and clever people. Way beyond my knowledge even after over 15 yrs... Always grateful, obviously linked to me, with my mom being a Maddocks. Thnx. This gives us the year of reaching the US, being 1913 when he was aged about 17. He was lodging rather than with any family.
Radnor Ave is in ward 27, being East Baltimore. Johns Hopkins hospital was opened in 1889 in E Baltimore, just a spit from Radnor Ave.
Could the census show the other occupants at Radnor Ave. Medical Students ?
I hadn't Pam. Thank you. Streets book rd. Shirley I think. Always thought it was Hall Green.I expect you have seen this
