Is this my Husbands grandfather?

I have been searching through the WW1 military records and i have found what could be my husbands Grandfather. I had very little to go on so needless to say it has been very difficult. Not knowing what regiment he was in or his rank number, this is a total guess but it seems to fit. His name is David Downing, he came from the Smethwick/ Dudley area. According to what i have found, he was in the Worc. RLC from 31-8-14 to 12-4-19 Rank PTE. Number 568316... I have been told that he sustained injuries to his face , i'm assuming that he was discharged on these grounds. The card says ...Reason for discharge... PARA 892 (KVIA) KR. i have no idea what that means. Is there any way i can find out if this is the man i am looking for, i dont want to add him to my ancestry tree if he is not. Does anyone have any suggestions?

On the Medal Roll Card you refer to there is also a number 2544, there are service records for a David Downing with this number, and details on there give, wife Maud Downing nee Pearson, address 1 ct 5 hse Lawley Street, Dudley, posted missing 21.5.18, wound to head 20.11.18. These details should help you decide if this is your David.
On the card the Para 392 (not 892) indicates he was discharged on medical or conduct grounds, (KVIA) KIA usually means Killed in Action not sure where the V comes from and KR is Kings Regulations.
