How it managed that Im not sure. As I do feed the birds, I do know they will come into the house sometimes so it must have flown up the stairwell and into the bathroom. Good advice but it all happened so fast there was no time to get a towel and the dog was too interested, plus I had a saucepan boiling on the stove.
 
Does anyone else have bats in their garden? As soon as it gets dusk here in the Summer they fly around and swoop down looking for insects.
When we first moved here we thought they were birds out late!
