HS2 progress 2020 and beyond

For the majority of folk in the UK this will be of little use and is seen as a waste of money. Linking two cities, which are not very representative of the UK- other that some large cities plus the focus of Manchester assuming a focal point - it seems that more money, north of Birmingham, will be mooted in the future.

Another drone flight from Bromford to Curzon St. It seems almost unbelievable that they will be sliding that enormous curved viaduct forward over the railway tracks...

Love or hate it you have to marvel at the engineering this has taken........and where all the money has gone............brilliant drone work.

I think it can benefit people other than those in Bham & London. For the people in between it would be like a big railway bypass that will free up rail capacity on the existing lines for them - for both local journeys and to London, just as a town bypass frees up roads for residents of the town bypassed who never use it.

For people north of Bham hopefully in the future the line will be extended. I can't imagine the cost to build from Bham to Manchester would be anywhere near as much as London to Bham. I can also imagine that it could be so who know.

Whatever opinions are directed to the work goes on and currently they are adding sections to the long Curzon No 1 viaduct to Duddeston
The infrastructure is gradually being completed on the route. The depot at Bromford when completed will be accompanied by track laying and then trial testing on a section of track.
