High Street, Toys R Us

Went to Brum today. Sat waiting at the lights, has Toys r us gone from High Street? Just got home and couldn't remember seeing it.

It went bankrupt in 1917, though I gather some firm has started using the name again very recently

quite right kat..the building is still there just down from the car park..its used for something else i belive

I was too old for the toys then, but we used to just go in and look to experience seeing the huge amount of toys.

Thanks, it was near the multi storey car park I remember which was to the left of the building but it must have been the other side near the High Street end of Bull Street?

Yes they were bought and sold a few times and milked by the VC’s (Vulture Capitals), then bought back but the new buyers were squeezed out! Not sure but it might be the original owners back in there with a different business model.
