1896 Henry Black
1897 John Edwin Drover
1899 Joseph Edwards
1900 Thomas Watts
1903 - 1905 Fred Baker
1908 - 1915 John Fisher
1921 John Henry Brookes

sorry im not much good at this lyn, but in the 1896 it says no. 29 guest st. A whitehouse and co. ltd - cycle manufacturers, no. 31 guest st. victoria inn - henry black, then - here are bridge st. west and farm street.

perhaps mikejee should have a look, hes the expert :)

Hi Lyn, In 1901 Census, the Victoria Inn was listed as 27 Guest St and occupied by Frederick and Emily Baker and family. In 1891 Census it was run by the Griffin family

thanks again chris...and linda....mike this kellys list may prove useful as the article written in the brummagem is by a brian fitzmaurice who says his grandfather ran the pub c 1900...of course me being me i asummed the grandfather would be his dads dad when of course it could be his moms dad and therefore would be a different surname...he is trying to piece together the family history for his sons and wanted any info on the pub and the extact location. as all he has is a family photo of the pub with his nan and grandad standing outside with some locals going off on a fishing trip..well we have established the location for him and if anyone can just find out when the pub dissapeared i think i could email him all this info including mikes maps and mikes kellys list...

It was there in the 1938 Kellys, but not the 1939. The list i gave you had a lot of years that weren't covered, so it might not be any of those names. Still its a start
