Hello good people , I lost my father a couple of years ago and didnt ever get around to asking him lots of important questions .
One of them being this , in 1968 when I was a toddler they bought a beautiful house which I grew up in in tile cross or may have been Marston Green back in those days . It was built in 1927 and mom still has the deeds to this day but what is puzzling Mom and I is that she cannot remember the name of the estate agents that marketed the house because I really would love to see the house brochure / particulars because mom said she doesn’t remember any but it was 58 years ago so they may have been lost . It’s so important for me to find the agent who sold it or a record as there maybe some photos of it , they didn’t have a camera when they moved in because they were skint I think and apparently the house was ramshackle and the garden was like a jungle and it’s a big garden . So I’d love to find the original advert for the house even if it was in a newspaper or even better a copy of the sales brochure for it , im hoping someone knows how to unlock this one somehow . The couple that they bought it from were Arthur Ilsley a gunmaker and his wife Miriam Ilsley nee tanner . Apparently they moved to Stratford upon Avon when they sold the house to mom and dad and he was born in 1885 so was quite old when they sold it and he passed away in 1976 or 1977 . My folks moved into the property on 21 August 1968 which was their anniversary. I’d so so love to find out if there were is any sales brochure or newspaper ad for it , it’s 49 Bell Lane , marston green or tile cross as it later became , b33 , Warwickshire or Birmingham , thank you in advance for reading this .
