Lots of snow last night here in Staffordshire but the outside tap isn’t frozen this morning and the rain forecast should clear it hopefully.

plenty of snow here in kingstanding alberta side roads inches deep..we are high up though so i always think we get it quite bad..looks like most schools are closed

nor i mike...it was a different world back then..i think a lot of teachers lived more local to the schools they taught at and there was also more schools about so pupils did not have to walk far..if the heating was down we sat in our coats and scarfs..simple as that

We moved to Cannock just in time for the 62/63 winter, missed school just 1 day that winter and even then I walked there, the snow was piled up either side of the pavement, when I got there the school had been closed.

well i did promise to help grandson james build a snowman should we have enough snow...we did and as we live next door to each other he was banging on my door to get me out and here is our effort oh he used his dads special choccies for the buttons lol..and i had my snow grips on just in case
