HALLAM 1861 Cenus

Mike Fisher

Billesley Boy
Thanks to Shera I now have two children who I knew about as Davenport with the correct surname Hallam. In the 1871 census I have Ann E(lizabeth) Davenport in Hiters Heath,Kings Norton as a daughter aged 15
born Enfield nr London. She marries as Ann Elizabeth Hallam in Q2 1877 to Alfred Smith and the family is in the 1881n census born Enfield,MDX

In the 1861 census I have William Davenport(index Devonport) with his wife Elizabeth and son John age 4 born London in Sedgley Terrace,Kings Norton (actually John James Hallam) but no Ann Elizabeth Hallam or Davenport,

where is she in 1861 ???

this is most likely not right but just in case .....

1861 there is an elizabeth a. hallam b. abt 1858 listed as granddaughter to joseph and mary hallam and family in bu rton on trent. she is listed as born staffs but it is just dittoes and ive found in the past sometimes these can be incorrect.

Her brother John J marries in 1878 as Hallam in the 1881 is Davenport ,in 1891 and 1901 is Hallam all in Birmingham ,still looking for him in the 1871 census

Hi Mike, hope you don't mind me 'pinching' this info. i knew about Ann but not sure about John.....just to be clear John uses the surname Hallam and Davenport? no wonder i have not found him, i wonder why he did this? Clive
