Firkins Bakers shops returning to the Black Country!
I think I remember there were some of their shops in Birmingham too.

There was a Firkins on Bearwood Rd Smethwick. Custard slice, Eccles cake and those pineapple tarts with icing on the top. Don't know about Firkins in Birmingham?

I think it only right to pay tribute to one of the long time brewers of the Black Country , Carlsberg have decided to close Marstons in Wolverhampton and move production to Burton on Trent the last mash of Bannk's Bitter was brewed in August the building in Wolverhampton closes this month , around 97 job losses . Banks first started brewing in 1875 in Wolverhampton . Cheers
