Good morning all..I had a 4 month offer from ancestry. Always some research to try and look into. I had already done
a fair bit, more than likely with dedicated members help...So I have got back to Elijah Parry estimated birth 1816.
BDM give me a marriage which is most likely him 1839, Kings Norton. Know his wife is Ruth on censuses. No idea of her maiden name..
The link is his son Edward Parry age11 on 1951 census. Plus a son Elijah age 7 on 51 census.
Elijah son born 1844, B' Ham. I cannot find Edwards birth abt 1840. Yes I can get marriage cert for 1839. No idea who he married other than Ruth..
I'm missing something as usual. Need anymore info please ask...Thank all again. Keith.

Her name was Ruth Bracey. If you click on the number '392' it will bring up all the people in that registration. Elijah's (son) birth is reg. with mmn Bracey.

Looked on BDM 1839 marriages last night. Her name different spouse, think Islington.
That's what threw me, didn't match Elijah marriage 1839.
Or have I missed something . I'm pretty sure that is the correct Elijah Parry marriage.
We've done alot on this family. ...Always a bit more. Thank you.

I'm not sure what you're saying to me.

On your search result from freeBMD next to Kings Norton there are 2 numbers 18 (volume number) and 392 (page number). If you click on 392 it will give you a list of people one of which will be Edward Parry and one of the others will be his spouse. As you know her name was Ruth from other sources then it has to be Ruth Bracey and checking the birth reg. for their son Elijah confirms this.

So need marriage cert for parents etc...Now I can see what you explained.
Any way of finding their births in Brum. Parish records, difficult. Well glad they marry in 2839...

Their marriage is on Ancestry.

Ruth Bracey's father was Thomas and she is likely to have been born 18 Nov 1818 parents Thomas & Sarah.

Elijah Parry's father was Joseph. Not sure about him.

There is a baptism for Edward Parry
