Eagle And Tun Cauliflower Ear Pub Banbury Street New Canal Street

I worked at a place called Multibrasive back of the Irish centre, always in there after early finish on Fridays, then bus back to King's heath, shower, change back to meet mate's at the Tun.
I loved the atmosphere of the place, never felt it in any other pub. Skins, rastas, punks, old fellas, it truly was an open arms.

hi stuart many years ago the HS2 bosses told me that the eagle and tun would be retained and not demolished but as with many other promises they made they did not keep it...very sad to lose another icon of a brummie pub

Thanks Astoness. As a new member im here looking into my old school really, Blessed Humphrey Middlemore in Harborne, now houses. Is there a thread? The ads are difficult to navigate past ...

A little off subject, I was a floor layer for quite a few years and often had to take up, on customers direction, beautiful old entrance hallway tiles to replace with laminate or carpet. We were able to sell it on as we took it up with care, sadly sometimes we would turn up to see a skip full of broken useless tiles...

There's another thread for this pub....

Eagle And Tun Pub

Thanks Lynn for pointing this out.

There was also a another E&T thread and one about the Cauliflower Ear, also once the E&T

Four threads have been merged, so there may be earlier unseen posts.
