Dugmore

rowan

Born a Brummie
I have just found out that I have a THOMAS DUGMORE who married ADA CLEGG 1905 in West Brom.

Does anyone else have these names in their family? :)

 Rowen, David Langstraat and I both have 'Dugmore's' in our trees.
However we are still trying to find out more on the Families.
If you go to search at the top left of the main index page and type in 'Dugmore' you will get at least 6 posts come up from different threads on the families.

I am sure my Joe had a brother Thomas, but families tended to stick to a small number of names, so it may or may not be the same one.

Hello:
Don't know if this will help or not but there are 3 soldiers who were in the Canadian Expeditionary Forces in WW1 with the surname Dugmore.

Ian, Thank you so much for listing the names of Ada's children.

Ada was my Mother's Aunt on her Father's side so all the children would have been her cousins......is that right?

Sadly my Mother never spoke of her extended family so I know very little about them and therefore have no photos of any but her parents George and Gertrude CLEGG

thank you again :)

hello, Thomas and Ada were my Grandad and Nan. John Christopher was my dad who was married to Janet Pauline Gowler. they had 5 children;
Margaret Pauline
John Anthony
Muriel Agnes
David Michael
Patricia Gwendoline

Hi Patrica, So if I have got things right............. your Grandmother ADA was my Grandfather GEORGE CLEGG's sister................ that could mean we are related ?? :)

I am not too good at this family history but I think I may have the right ADA nee CLEGG here ?

Patrica, looks like we are also related by marriage Your Thomas was the cousin to Joseph who married my great Aunty.

yes I think we are related. I remember my Nan she lived with her daughter Margaret (my aunt Meg) in a flat above Barclays bank in Newtown Row, Aston until she died.

Rowan, your Christmas card list is getting longer and looonger and loooonnnggeeerr:)

Postie................;)

Patrica .............. My Grandad GEORGE CLEGG (Ada's brother) was born in 1890 in Aston and when he married he moved to Woodwells Road in Ward End. He died in 1956.

He had 2 children Rachael (my mother) and Alan.

His father, also GEORGE CLEGG, came from Rochdale.

My Grandad was a railway man all his life and he lost an eye when he tried to remove an incendery bomb from the railway lines at the back of his house in Woodwells.

A real gentle, gentleman was my Grandad, God Bless him.
