Hi,
No, when I Googled Doris Gritton , it came up with Doris Gertrude Gritton who died in 1979 at Solihull,, and I
wrongly assumed that this was the one that had lived at Millhouse Road. The reason for my search was that I
was going through some old metal detector finds recently, and I came across a little silver name plate which was
probably part of a bracelet, with the name Doris Gritton, and an address in Millhouse Road. As it was obviously
a good few years old, and was found several decades ago, I accepted that it was the one who died in 1979.
My interest is purely that I wanted to pass it on to any family member who would like it as a keepsake.
I guess that as I am now getting on a bit, it would just be thrown out when I go!

That would be a shame but sadly Doris doesn't seem to have had any close relatives. - unmarried, no children. She had two brothers who both died young and her mother appears to have died when Doris was 6 and I don't think her father re-married.
So closest relatives would be cousins or their descendants.

Yes, I remember finding it in the park in Blakesley Road around 50 years ago
Just down the road from Millhouse Road. I used to find so many bits and pieces
in those days that I very rarely had a good look at them. I used to meet my
girlfriends in that park, and my wife lived just round the corner in Wash Lane - it
brings back a lot of memories.
Well, I just hope a relative sees this, and thanks very much for your help.
