That is a wonderful story, welcome home! When I came to the US I settled in NJ. When we were married in 1969 we had an appointment in Wayne NJ, After Thanksgiving my new wife and I visited the Dey Mansion, pronounced Dye. Richard Dye was a general for Peter Stuyvesant who settled NYC when it was called New Amsterdam. Needless to say we were treated royally at the museum. A good story but not as good as yours, enjoy TN. We have lived in NJ, NY, OK, SC and NC but love TN.For the better Richard.
Family ancestors arrived here in Jonesborough in 1747 and my house is on land once owned by an ancestor.
Guess you could say I came home.
Actually not the guy. I’ll send something. Last name is Dey settled from Holland/Denmark. His house also served as Washintons HQ. I think I have m6 dates off. This guy?

I would think so Mike after having Davenports deliver my "Beer At Home" some years ago , I could never really take to the taste . My reasoning for that was I thought they could never put this on tap and expect it to sellJust after the end of lockdown I had occasion to visit the Bulls Head (now apparently closed as a pub according to streetview). It was then a "Davenports " pub. I s[pke to the publican an dm from what I remember it was a member of the Davenports family that was entering the business. I think they said that the beers were being brewed for them . Presumably this is the same organisation
