Christmas

The shopping was done
The day had come
The turkey stuffed
I huffed and puffed

The parcels were open
Our thanks were spoken
We donned our togs
And walked the dogs

There was frost on the ground
As we walked around
The air was clear
No sounds to hear

But church bells rang
With a peel not a clang
Celebrating in their way
The Christ Childs Birthday.
