Does anyone know if you can still buy these?

There used to be a sweet shop in Station Road, Erdington which sold lovely chocolate dates and also thick slabs of chocolate broken into chunks. Can anyone remember the name of it?

Hi 500 Miles:

What years are you looking at for the sweet shop and which side of the street was it on. Johnson Rd side or Osborne Road Side. Thanks.

Hi Jennyann. It was Johnson Rd side quite near the station. It would have been in the early-mid seventies.

There is a confectioner at no 37 Mrs D.M.Witherington. That seems to be 4 shops away from the bridge on the Johnson rd side.

A lady friend got them for her I suppose you don't ask were from if its a gift for walking the dog

I am not sure but i think you could find some think like that in the chocolate gift basket. I love their chocolate it is just amazing and the great thing is that you can order this chocolate online.
Just check it out.

After a day out near Oxford I return home and find this wonderful thread.
Trouble is it is after midnight and the shops are shut, not a sweet or bar of chocolate in the house and I now have a craving now for sweets of yesteryear.
