Cadbury's Bournville Factory

Its a very very early picture. It is the Peckett built locomotive, first steam engine at Bournville, it had left the site by 1896. Waterside didn't open to rail traffic until 1925.

I think it's in the early part of the works parallel with Bournville Lane, by what became the Station Lodge.

replaced by a boring concrete lumo, but , if I remember correctly, the building to the right was still extant in the 1960s
 
not sure of its exact location but what a sad sight this is...disued lido i believe there is also a disused tennis court set up by bournville village trust...maybe someone could provide a map

thanks mike..very interesting..it must have been wonderful working for cadburys over the years they really looked after their staff..i know my auntie was very happy working there for over 40 years
