Well done for the rescue Grea. Sad that someone threw it into the water though. Perhaps it was stolen with other things and then jettisoned as not wanted. I inherited a family album with photos dating from the last quarter of the 1800's. Many of the photos are not marked with names and I think it's such a pity. At least there are some clues with your find. I can work out who some of the people are in mine but lots have b.t.b. (believed to be) before their names. Do hope you find some of the family.

its a crying shame that someone thinks so little of their family history grea...i have posted a few things on here that have come my way but belong to others..so far i have had no luck in being able to pass them onto the correct families....im not on facebook so i can only see what you have posted...any idea of the name of the school ...does it say aston manor at the top of the cert??

There is a lot more info and more pictures than I have posted. I will try to put more on

The Honour certificate is cut off at the sides. A complete one would reveal the Junior school, and the Principal, in what many be Aston Manor?

Not Gower Street, but a sad tale of Birmingham schools 1907... Four deaths in one week at an Infant School.

Before antibiotics it was a very serious diseaes. My aunt died of it in the 1930s. Nowadays you rarely hear of it as it is so easily controlled (as long as antibiotics continue to work)

May be a silly question - are you putting an 'x' in the box at login to 'remain logged in' otherwise one does only get a few minutes before being logged out!

Yeh, Ipress it every time, thenafter I've read acouple of posts I see I am logged out or I get a message "You need to be logged in to see this photograph.

The owners of the albumn has been traced and the finder is returning it to the family, Grea

Usually the reason for uncommanded log-outs is because the browser you are using is losing the log-in cookie 'xf-user'. As a check, try another browser and see if it still happens.
There is a thread about it
https://birminghamhistory.co.uk/forum/index.php?threads/getting-logged-out.46898/
but one of the main reasons at that time, 'https and https' has been resolved and the site is https.
