Mike have you got a map that shows where the Victoria Inn was situated please . I'd like to know where it was and what I missed ?

Rushton Street doesn't meet Broad Street where The Victoria was now, the bottom area is all newer housing and flats.

yes thats right sparks...when we look at the scottish maps we can see just how much change there has been over the years...no wonder i do not know the city anymore

Hi

I worked at Ryland Garage, bottom of Ryland St in 1959 to1964 and Rushton St. didn't join Broad St it ended at Grovenor St.

Any one with a 1960s A to Z page 61 4D is the reference.

thanks brian rushton st did at one time end at broad st so it must have been shortened before 1959
