No one fitting the description in the earlier post showed up on a George Medal web site. However, someeone I knew in the fire service was awared the GM for bravery rescuing women and children - I have seen it and the associated ribbon - but I did not see his name on the Wiki page. However, Wiki does have limitations, as does many things posted on the net.
I would be very interested in anyone, who knows relatives of people that could have worked with my Grandfather and his deaf mute brother at the Carriage works
