If you click this link the map is of the samedateas the one in the ost above but if you slide the blue dot (bottom left) it will reveal a satellite view of the area today. Still green fields. I am not sure where exactly your grandparents moved to. Perhaps a name might help us locate things more precisely.
I should point out that many Solihull records are not online.

According to this article Berry mound was In Solihull Lodge and was an iron age Hill fort

We are very close to the boundary here and I think that Berry Mound currently comes under Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. The boundary has shifted in the past around here too. Another complication in researching an area where 'Holly Wood' on the map becomes modern 'Hollywood.'

I did some surveying work for an archaeologist a few years about at Berry Mound. I recall it was out Wythall in some fields. We also surveyed Kents Moat and Hobs Moat the same day.

Hi, I’m trying to find out the history of where I live, I live in Solihull lodge and my house backs on to berry mound i have a view of it from my house. I know berry mound is well known but I just wondered if anyone had anymore information on it as I’ve walked it for years and am just curious thanks in advance :)

Ive had a chance to take a closer look over an earlier thread about Berry Mound and I am now reopening this thread.

I have tidied the earlier 'Berry Mound' thread as it refers to a house named Berry Mound in Swanshurst Lane. In that thread, there was confusion about whether it was a query about a house or a hill fort. I've transferred the info about Berry Mound the ancient hill fort to this thread

I've edited both thread titles to make the distinction clearer.
