Bayley Charles William

In another straw clutching moment I have just seen a baptism card ( 1961) for Wifes brother and a God parent is Florence Gertrude Owen.......3 names I keep seeing but cant connect with them again ( that Farm St is eating at me again lol)...

There is a Florence Gertrude Green b1913 mmn Hodgetts who married a Samuel H Owen in 1949. She was living at 245 Newcombe Road in 1939. Living at 27 Brearley St in 1961 which I think is close to Farm St.

Just had an article come up on Ancestry hints up loaded in June from one of wife's dna matches which is a follow up from the court proceedings of early 1900 and Gertrude Dubhill was eventually sent to goal for mistreating her children. She got 2 months non hard labour after it was said she ran off with a man named Bailey....probably miss spelt...should be our old friend Charles Stephen Bayley. there's a problem as she was pregnant with Charles William who was born 18/8/1900.
Will upload the article when onPC. The articles is dated April 1900.

There is another article on the 17 February 1900 which is a prelude to this one when they were also visited (coincidently by a constable Bailey) and accused of neglect. It says they were nearly sent to gaol then but were given 6 weeks to reform, which they obviously didn't.

Strangely there is only mention of 2 children when there were 3 at this time.

As I mentioned Farm St in #92 I thought it rang bells and found it on a 2nd wedding in 1909 for Charles Stephen Bayley jnr (1887) they lived at 4/7 Farm St........also in 1921 he is a lodger at his sisters (Lily May Lewis) in Bell Barn Road and he works in Farm St.
Also his 1st wife (Polly Stokes) lives with their daughter Florence Emily at 334 Farm St....their former marital home.
