Hi, where do i look for baptisms for my ancestors, from 1889-1908, around the Deritend/Aston area (thats where they were living at the time)? They were living very close to St Anne's RC church, Bradford Road/Alcester Road.

Hi, have just found out that Naasson was baptised at Parish church of great comberton which is CofE, (St Michaels) so am assuming that he baptised his children CofE too, not sure of the closest church to his address at the time.
Would all this info be at Birmingham library, if so i could get there when the kids go back to school.

Try-
St Johns , That was on the Corner of High St , Deritend and the corner of Chapel House Street. Closed or demolished about 1947.
I think this one would be nearest to where your family were living.

Also Holy Trinity Church , Camp Hill, Facing Bradford Street . Church is still standing but no longer used as a Church.

Another Church in Deritend is St John & St Basil in Heath Mill Lane, However this was over the other side of Digbeth.

Good Luck,
Bo

Thanks for that info, at least it will give me a few leads when i go into Birmingham.
They lived in Heath Mill Lane in 1901 and Bradford Street in 1911, so they do look promising.

Thanks again

Another Church not far from Heath Mill Lane was-
St Gabriel ( c.o.e ) Pickford St/ Barn St . Deritend

St Gabriel ( Rc) Barn St, Deritend

Thanks again, have noted all that down, cant wait to get to Birmingham now!
