Tinpot this is great also, i dont know about a drydock, seems a bit of an awkward place to manouver a boat in to, maybe a loading area for carriages or wagons, looks like maybe a ramp down to it
This Canal Trust photo looks to me to be taken of the same corner as in Lyn's photo post #53. Judging by the 'bosses clothing in the foreground this could well be the 1930s. The roof which joins the multi-story building behind it has altered by the time of Lyn's photo.
The bicycle in Lyn's photo may give a clue to its date. It has dropped handle bars - anyone know when they became common ? 1960s perhaps ?
