Ancestry website query

Did you get to correct it on Ancestry(how?) or do you mean in your own records. I notice in some instances you can get to see marriage certificates and in others not, is there a date cut off?
 
Corrected on Ancestry. When you find a record this is what you see. If you click on Add or update youcan amend a record. It won't show immediately until Ancestry have checked then it will show as a note under the transcription.

There is a cut off date for marriages but, in general, you only see those where the church records are on Ancestry. So no register office marriages, no Catholic marriages (on FMP).

over the years i have saved a fortune on buying marriage certs but as jan said not all are available to find them click on parish records and enter the details

Do you have ProTools.

My Tree rating is 9.7 - which means that out of 2,547 people in my tree there could be a possible 26 duplications, no documentation for 157 people and a possible further 36 errors.

Judging by some of the hints Ancestry give you, I wouldn't have much faith in their incorrect dates feature.

I do not attach too much credence to the "Tree Rating" figures and possible errors Ancestry state could be in my tree.

Although I do check from time to time.

I mainly use ProTools for the DNA feature.

The information I've found on the 1921 census has been interesting but I miss the days when something you uncovered was truly exciting - new names, new places, new family.

And doing other people's trees is also interesting but it's not the same.

i love doing other peoples trees mark but that is just the curiosity in me..some may say being nosey :D
