This is my wife's peach cake made with white peaches (seasonal) and pecans...........Delicious! The white peaches are wonderful, the season is not very long, we get them while we can!
Anyone have kedgeree? A firm favourite in our house, tasty and healthy too.

Actually I think that in India but did not know what it was....It had a mild curry flavor which I like. I thought it was quite nice and easy to eat.
Think it originated in India Richard, and brought here in victorian times. I think it was intended as a breakfast dish, but we eat it anytime.

I did not realize what it was until you posted it. After Googling I remembered that I had that a couple of times in India. Two companies I have worked for have JVs there and I would visit often. I became friends with the owner of a company that we bought equipment from, he invited me to his home a few times and I think that was served almost as a side dish. Could be wrong, but.

Treacle tart was always a wee bit too sweet for me, but the egg custard is a winner.

i love cake wish i could make them like NOTSHARP doesBakewell out of the oven.
I had some pastry left over, so made some wee cherry Bakewell tarts, with cherry jam. The tray version has Raspberry jam, of course.
