War memorials listing

English Heritage is to list 2,500 war memorials over the next 5 years. The public is invited to nominate memorials, and specifically would like to know about any that are in need of repair. Here's an article https://www.telegraph.co.uk/history...d-status-for-hundreds-more-war-memorials.html

Currently only 130 memorials are listed of an estimated 100,000. Viv.

I use and have contributed photos and lists to https://www.ukniwm.org.uk/server/show/nav.002 they have over 65,000 recorded.

I notice, this morning, that someone has posted a picture of a WW1 memorial plaque from Tindall Street school, Balsall Heath on the warmemorialsonline. site.
There are a lot of names there and I think it will interest people with roots in that area.
