Temporary infirmary aston

Hi, My g grandfather died 1915. On death cert it was in the temporary infirmary aston. Does anyone know anything about the infirmary?

Jean, Many buildings were adapted as temporary hospitals during the wars, large public buildings and private homes were converted into hospitals to cope with the amount of war wounded arriving in the City. The Long, Long Trail website https://www.1914-1918.net/southerngen.htm gives some idea how things were organised.
