rosie..................Can you remember the recipe for the faggots your mother made? I can still "taste" the flavour of those my late mother made, they were wonderful. The bought faggots presented today are nothing like those of mothers! I seem to remember faggots contained heart, kidney, liver, lites (lung) bread crumbs, herbs all bond together in kell ( skin which I believe separated the pig's diaphragm from other parts). Most importantly all the "meat" products were cut into small pieces by knife and not through the mincer. How I looked forward to my lunch time meal after walking home from school. (no school dinners during my time!)
