brumgrum .I find the pressed and cooked meat from pigs head is delicious!! This is widely called brawn and home made always seems superior to the purchased option.. This is often a few pieces of meat floating around in a mass of gelatine and to enhance this mass a small amount of red dye is often added!!
I'll take your word for it, I'm still not tempted.brumgum Your comment about pigs brains made me reflect on a story my son mentioned after having brains on toast at my mothers. He asked my mother what exactly this brains on toast was to which she straight away replied "brains" . He actually thought it a pseudonym for something else!! I liken the taste of brains a little like soft herring roe.
